![]() Google Pay is one of the cheapest services on the list, although with the launch of the new Google Pay app, fees have changed slightly. Also, PayPal Credit users might prefer PayPal, as it eliminates the need to have any extra accounts. Instead, money will sit in your PayPal account and can be used for purchases or sent to your bank, as you see fit. Like some of the other services on our list, PayPal won’t transfer money directly to your bank unless you manually do it. You can pay for goods in stores by scanning the app’s QR code to pay using PayPal, or use the Pay Later feature to spread the cost of purchases by paying a down payment today and the remainder in three installments. Most people won’t need that - but it’s nice to have in case you do. Using PayPal, you can transfer up to a hefty $10,000. One advantage is that PayPal allows the largest transactions of the bunch, tied with Apple Pay Cash and Google Pay. PayPal also charges a 1% fee for instant withdrawals to your bank account or card. If you’re planning on sending or receiving money internationally, fees are even steeper. Not only does it charge a 2.9% fee for money sent from a debit or credit card, but it also charges an extra 30 cents on top of that. ![]() However, if you choose not to, PayPal will be one of the most expensive services for you. Now, we would highly recommend connecting it to your bank account anyway, as it makes things a lot easier if you happen to lose your debit or credit card or when you get a new one. Out of the five services, PayPal is the most expensive, if you don’t want to connect the service to your bank account (or for sending or receiving international payments). What PayPal has going against it, however, isn’t related to its ease of use. There are no fees to send or receive money from friends and family in the U.S - but if you’re sending or receiving payments from another country, fees apply. If you have your friend’s link, simply follow the link and enter how much you want to pay them. The initiative has made sending money even easier. Simply open up your PayPal account, press the “send money” button, and follow the instructions - it only takes a few seconds to send money. PayPal’s interface is extremely easy to use, largely thanks to a major redesign. PayPal has long been the go-to for online shopping, and the fact that it can be used to transfer money between friends is simply a bonus. Make that is the last field that you update to see the correct results. As previously mentioned, PayPal is perhaps the best known of these services - though that has been changing in recent years. Eliza name meaning heknows7/2/2023 ![]() I liked that Gabriel is a significant New Testament character (probably gets more attention among Catholics than among some Protestants) without being an apostle. Adding a Peter to our boys really turns them into sounding like a list of apostles (even though Mark wasn’t an apostle). The fact that Gabriel sounded less thematic was actually another one of the things I did like about Gabriel over Peter. I think of it as more of an Old Testament name I guess, and most Gabriels I know are Jewish. Gabriel to me doesn’t sound as thematic with the other names as Henry and Peter. It especially goes well with and (full disclosure - I have a Henry, but I’m actually considering Peter for my next). I don’t think anyone will think it stands out oddly from the rest. However, I think loving the name is more important and Henry, to me, fits just fine. And if we decide against Henry, would Peter or Gabriel be the better pick?Īs far as just fitting with your other names, Peter probably “fits” the best. So I’m looking for feedback on how a Henry would fit in with my crew. He would also use John which repeats a cousin name so for me isn’t a great choice. ![]() My husband, not being a name nerd, doesn’t think the New Testament theme matters and also isn’t bothered by repeating a first initial. (I realize the initial thing may be a bit silly as is starting high school so it’s not like I need to label their belongings to distinguish them and by the time a little Peter wants to have his own initial, will likely be moving out of the house, but silly or not, it is still a strike against using Peter). However, I do like Gabriel a lot better with our last name and I really would prefer not to repeat a first initial. I probably find Peter a little more my style. Our other 2 contenders are both New Testament names - Peter and Gabriel. We’ve both used nearly all of our favorite boy names as first or middles already so I think it’s easier at the point to be accommodating. He knows that the baby’s name means way more to me than it does to him. ![]() My husband doesn’t share my enthusiasm for Henry, but strongly wants to use a name I love. I didn't find any instances of culturally insensitive or offensive text. I did have trouble with some media links but I'm attributing that to the work computers and blocking access to some sites. I was curious why delta x(sub i) was not included in the definition of a Riemann sum but this was later explained in 5.2. Yes, the text is nicely broken into manageable sections that could be rearranged if necessary. The limit rule for sinx/x as x approaches 0 is explained in 2.3, but I would like this to have it's Theorem or Rule box. This would include many of the functions mentioned in chapter 1 (they could be included in the Precalculus review), the existence of a limit, the compound formula and continuous compound formula. There were some bold terms that I would have like to see get a boxed definition. It was formal when necessary but otherwise friendly or not stuffy. I thought the writing was very accessible. Many chapter openers and student projects involve situations that would interest students. I appreciate the informal proofs about limits at infinity along with the formal proofs. It provides greater accuracy but uncertainty about if it's an upper or lower sum. I would also say that about the midpoint rule for finding area under a curve, not necessary but gives the alternative to an upper sum and lower sum. This isn't required but is nice to get exposure to in Calculus 1. The text covers all topics I was expecting except for a discussion about normal lines.
